I went to some of the games and found them exciting [what I understood of them] I liked the commotion and all the people. Most of the time I was to work at the store tho.

I didn't realize you had a sister.... Her name? N

Nancy,
Thanks for the comment. I think at our age we can feel freer to take the privilege to give ourselves permission to live more in the moment. - J

Really enjoyed this article....Is a great way to look at the process of aging. My thought is to enjoy each stage as we get to it... my cousin's thought is... "Growing old is not for the faint of heart!" N

This is an absolutely wonderful piece and I am going to forward your blog link to many who will appreciate is as a testimony to the brightness they new feel within. Some of those also are lucky enough to have folks comment on their color with respect - but not all.
Your talents as a writer begin to make me think of the Clark maple at the edge of Route 24, right on the curve as I saw it last, an October a few years ago.

Full disclosure: Lovie took the other bed and kept it at the factory (or previous guest's) settings. While we did forget our room number and tried a few other doors, it was handled discreetly and truly did not disturb any other guests. My personal attitude toward sleep number beds remains negative for reasons stated. :)

As a Prairie Home Companion fan (Sleep Number Bed sponsorship) I have wondered about how the number adjustment works, as I am surely not going to have another new mattress in my lifetime nor sleep in a hotel that has changed over. Since I have lots of trouble even changing channels on my old TV with the remote and have not - so far- figured out how to tape something that will be on whilst I am out gallivanting, I fear being locked in a room or institution you have to know how to get out of by pressing the right combo of buttons. You do not mention how Lovie coped with either the blushes of the many guests in notyourroom or HER side of the bed, matters best kept I am sure between longtime loving partners.
